LADO stands for Local Authority Designated Officer. They are responsible for managing allegations and concerns about people who work with children and young people.
A LADO ensures that concerns are handled fairly, Safeguards the welfare of children, Ensures that individuals are not unfairly treated, and Manages allegations across the children's workforce.
